Fasteners in Japan
In the first half of the year, Japan imported 169,701 metric tons of fasteners, and the import value was 72,421,066 thousand yen. The main sources of imports are Mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, the United States, Australia and Indonesia.
In the first half of the year, Japan exported 162,066 metric tons of fasteners, with an export value of 163,578,326 thousand yen. The main export destinations are mainland China, the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Brazil, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Taiwan.
Compared with the previous two years, Japan's imports of fasteners to the world increased significantly by 37% until the first half of this year. On the contrary, exports to the world increased by 35% in the first half of last year and only 1.8% in the first half of this year. Asia, including mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, is Japan's main source of imports; the main export targets are mainland China, the United States, and Thailand. China is Japan's largest fastener trade partner in both import and export.
